Population Health Management Recorded Webinar

Should Radiology Be Involved in Population Health?

The question of whether radiology should engage directly with population health is on many people's minds. As medicine transitions from a fee-for-service footing to value-based care, it is incumbent on every physician to weigh the advantages and challenges of this new care delivery model. Learn how radiologists can position themselves to optimize care for patient populations of all backgrounds while saving on costs and strengthening the U.S. healthcare system with this free webinar recording.

Hear from population health management experts about the merits of intervening further up the care pathway to mitigate negative social determinants of health in specific patient populations. Earn 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Define proactive imaging and negative social determinants of health for distinct patient populations, and the costs and benefits of ensuring effective patient follow-up.
  • Identify advantages and challenges involved with clinical interventions such as incidental findings management and enforcing adherence to appropriateness criteria.
  • Recognize the benefits and drawbacks of intervening non-clinically to mitigate negative upstream social determinants of health and shore up missed care opportunities.
  • Weigh the pros and cons of designing quality measures within advanced alternative payment models to incentivize radiologists to proactively care for their patients.
