Philips Emerging Leaders RLI Scholarship

The annual Philips Emerging Leaders RLI Scholarship is awarded to 10 residents or fellows who have demonstrated a strong interest in leadership and who show promise to both become leaders in our field and to also contribute to the future of radiology.

Recipients will attend the 2025 RLI Summit as well as participate in the 2025 RLI Leadership Essentials and 2025 Kickstart Your Career Workshop and be invited to participate in a one-year, cohort-based Philips executive mentorship program designed to provide residents with professional development and leadership guidance and insights into the industry from a vendor perspective.

Scholarship Criteria


  • Past leadership experience such as serving as chief resident, participating as a member of the 黑料网 RFS, or serving in another medical leadership position.

  • Substantiated and sustained interest in leadership development.

  • Personal qualities that indicate the candidate has exceptional leadership potential.  

Eligibility


Residents and fellows working in the field of radiology are eligible if they:

  • Are a current 黑料网 member
  • Are currently enrolled as a resident or fellow in an ACGME accredited U.S. or Canadian Residency/Fellowship Program
  • Will be an R3-R4 or a fellow as of the RLI Summit in September 2025
  • Prior engagement with RLI offerings, i.e., program participation, webinar attendance, course completion, etc.
  • Must be able to attend the , September 26-28 at the Boston Seaport Hotel
  • Willing to complete 20 hours of Philips-led coursework and activities included the writing of a white paper.

Recognition


Awardees will receive:

  • Complimentary registration, lodging, and travel to the 2025 RLI Summit
    o RLI Leadership Essentials program (Sept – Dec 2025)
    o RLI Kickstart Your Career Workshop (Fall 2025)
    o 2025 RLI Summit (includes travel and lodging)
  • Access to a one-year, Philips led cohort-based, executive mentorship program that includes:
    o Self-paced learning around topics including the Future of AI, Partnerships, Sustainability and Patient Centricity
    o Mentor assignments based on topics





Application Requirements


All submissions are required to include:
 
A completed application form, with general information, and the below as three attachments.
 
1) Document describing
  • Your past leadership experiences and level of engagement with the RLI, such as individual courses or programs in which you have participated
  • Your short and long-term professional goals
  • Why would you like to be considered for the Philips Emerging Leaders RLI Scholarship and how you plan to use knowledge gained from the one-year Philips Executive Mentorship program.
2) One (1) letter of recommendation from your current residency or fellowship program director, or department chair which includes a statement that you will be able to participate in all the RLI programs and activities associated with the one-year Philips Executive Mentorship program.
