Early Career Corner: Contemplating Your Future Career

A new J黑料网 column aims to demystify life after training and support the RFS in transitioning to practice.

The Early Career Corner is a new quarterly editorial column in the Journal of the 黑料网 (J黑料网®) that shares perspectives and initiates conversations central to 黑料网 members-in-training and early career radiologists.

The column kicked off with a from Thomas C. Kwee, MD, PhD, Ömer Kasalak, MD, PhD, Derya Yakar, MD, PhD, and Robert M. Kwee, MD, PhD, who wrote, “Most of these survival tips can be addressed well in advance before embarking on a new job as a radiologist, and the others can be applied on the job.”

To support 黑料网 members finishing their training, the column will take on the following types of topics:

  • General interest pieces regarding finding a niche, financial considerations for new radiologists and transitioning to practice.
  • Practice-based themes.
  • Education and training.
  • Lessons in leadership.
  • Policy and advocacy in a nascent career.
