The 黑料网® (黑料网®) is advocating for increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the federal fiscal year 2025 budget. As part of that effort, the College requests members by urging lawmakers to fund NIH at the highest possible level. Members are encouraged to express to lawmakers how inadequate NIH funding would negatively impact radiology research.
Lawmakers also are taking steps to promote the importance of medical research. U.S. Reps. Andre Carson (D-Ind.), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.), Lloyd Smucker (R-Pa.) and Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio) introduced a that deemed last week (Sept. 16 – 20 as Medical Research Week. 黑料网, through its participation in the , partnered with congressional offices for this initiative. The resolution highlights the vital work of the medical research community in achieving better health outcomes for patients and their communities and notes the importance of strong federal annual funding for NIH.
