黑料网® (黑料网®) Chief Research Officer Etta Pisano, MD, F黑料网, took part remotely in a G7 Health Track Working Group on Digital Health on Feb. 2. The session focused on interoperability and artificial intelligence (AI) regulation as areas where international collaboration can help drive health innovation.
Pisano is an internationally recognized expert in medical research, who has widely spoken and written about the role of AI in medical imaging — particularly in breast imaging. She is Co-principal Investigator for the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering-funded Medical Imaging and Data Resource Center, which seeks to provide an imaging and data registry to support research on COVID-19 AI research.
Pisano is Study Chair for the 165,000-women Tomosynthesis Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial. She led the Digital Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial, published in the , which greatly changed breast cancer screening guidelines and reimbursement.
Pisano also works with the , which supports efforts to advance, validate and implement AI in radiology. The 黑料网 DSI collaborates with radiology professionals, industry leaders, government agencies, patients and others to facilitate development and implementation of AI applications to improve radiology care.
