黑料网® (黑料网®) Committee on Drugs and Contrast Media member Pranay Krishnan, MD, spoke about radiology’s response to the recent contrast media shortage at the Feb. 7 National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine .
Dr. Krishnan, the Vice Chair of Operations, Quality and Safety at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, presented a case study that outlined:
- Size and scope of the problem.
- Consequences for healthcare delivery.
- Response of hospital systems.
- Contrast supply chain vulnerabilities.
Dr. Krishnan then discussed whether we are better prepared for such a shortage in the future.
