In honor of my Daddy, we are having a live tomoto plant sale and we invite you to gift a seedling to an Elder African Senior in Seattle- in honor of my Daddy, who grew tomatoes in our backyard during my childhood. He would have been 88 this past June 27, 2020. I salute my Daddy on his 88th birthday. May he rest in PEACE!
We are working with local African Neighborhood organizations in Seattle to distribute the gifted seedlings.
$15 gifts a mature tomato seedling to an Elder African Senior
$30 gifts the seedling transplanted into a container- for those who do not have garden space.
The cost of your gift includes transportation and logistics.
BACKSTORY:
Just recently, I acquired 300+ tomato seedlings. It's like raising 300 children. They were in need of care and I prayed to God for help. God is Gracious and He gave me the wisdom and strength to do it and now they are thriving.
Then, on Father's Day, I found the photos of my dad's backyard tomato-growing exploits when I was growing up. I did not know this skill had been encoded in our genes! I am truly Daddy’s girl.
