National Mammography DatabaseBenchmark your exams

Helping your practice ensure high-quality radiologic care for patients.

Harness the Value of NMD Participation

Certified as a Practice Quality Improvement (PQI) project, you can apply NMD participation toward the American Board of Radiology Part IV Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credit.

Part of the National Radiology Data Registry (NRDR®), the NMD leverages the data collected by radiology practices to provide comparative national and regional benchmarking.

As a participant, you receive semiannual feedback reports that include important benchmark data, such as cancer detection rates, positive predictive value rates and recall rates. To facilitate timely modifications, preliminary data is available earlier for exams with fewer than 365 days of follow-up.

Participate in the Registry

Below, you’ll find all the resources you need to begin your journey with NMD, from registration through data submission and reporting.

Three Easy Steps to Participate

  1. Register each facility that will participate in the registry.
  2. Complete and return a signed participation agreement to NRDR.
  3. Submit payment, then you can get ready to start submitting your data.

Follow our NRDR application process to get started.
